Hands up who is EGGS-ited for Easter! Although it may not be the celebration we are used to, there are still plenty of fun things you can do at home to share the joy of Easter with your family.
Make hot cross buns
Is there anything better than a hot cross bun fresh from the oven with lashings of butter? We don’t think so! Here is a super easy recipe from Bake Play Smile. You can make traditional fruit hot cross buns or mix things up by adding chocolate chips, cranberries with white chocolate or you can even leave the fruit out altogether!
Have an Easter hat parade with your family
Why not organise a virtual Easter hat parade with family you might not get to see in person this Easter! Get crafty with these super simple (but extra bling) Easter crowns from Poppies for Grace that use materials you may have around the house, then have a video chat with your family and friends to show off your Easter crowns!
Get active with some Easter EGGS-ercises
The Seasoned Mom has a super fun game to add to your Easter Egg hunt this year. What a cute way to give the kids a challenge while on the hunt for chocolate eggs. Best of all you could play this game any time at home, just mix up the different activities inside each egg to add new challenges!
Set up an Easter Bunny Photo Booth
Why not set up your very own bunny photo booth and turn your whole family into cute little Easter bunnies with this cute idea from Kids Craft Room. They would be the perfect addition to a pair of Bunny Ears!
Have an Easter Scavenger Hunt
Why not set up a little scavenger hunt around your home or garden! You can use a piece of string or wool to lead the egg hunters to their next eggs-iting clue or to help them find eggs along the way! Just remember where you put all the eggs so our furry and feathered friends don’t find them later!
We hope that you all enjoy time with your family this Easter, whether it be the ones in your home or a phone call or video chat with those far away. We will be sad not to see all of our regular Easter families this year but we look forward to seeing you all again in the not too distant future. Stay safe everyone!
