Enjoy a Friday night at the Busselton Trots in January 2014.
The Trots are run at Churchill Park, just one kilometre from Busselton Town Centre. There are four meets left for this season to be held on Friday the 3rd, 10th, 17th and 24th of January 2014.
Horses and their drivers pace around the Granitic Sand Track from a standing start. Races are set to 2,680 metres, 2,400 metres or 2,030 metres long and usually attract a field of about 8 horses.
Pack a picnic or enjoy hot chips, chips & gravy, hamburgers, cheesies, hotdogs, soft drinks and of course the ultimate Busselton Trots treat – freshly cooked hot cinnamon doughnuts! YUM.
There is a licensed area with alcohol for sale – no BYO.
Place a bet at the onsite TAB if you like to have a flutter. If you don’t have any luck in your race you can always enter the Losing Tote Ticket Raffle. There is a Children’s Bike Raffle each meet so stay around until that is drawn to see if you are the lucky winner.
Entry fees apply. If you’re early you can put down a rug or some chairs on the lawn, or there is seating around the track.
There is lots of parking when you enter from Brown Street and make sure you pack some warm clothes as it does get very cold!
