Brighten up your day with a drive to Dunsborough to see what Wrapped in Dunsborough is all about.
The Dunsborough locals refuse to let the cold, grey winter days get them down. Instead they brighten up everyone’s day with the Wrapped in Dunsborough display.
Local knitters and crocheters bring colour to the town by wrapping the trees, statues and poles in blankets of knitted squares, all to make us smile and feel warm inside. There’s no limit to the colours and styles that can be created by these talented people.
The wrapping of the town begins on Saturday the 5th of July in the Dunsborough town centre and the town gets unwrapped on Saturday the 2nd of August. The artists say their favourite part is talking to the curious passers-by as they apply their artworks to the town.
So to see something very different be in Dunsborough between the 5th of July and the 2nd of August 2014. Dunsborough is just a twenty minute drive from Mandalay Holiday Resort. For those wanting to stretch their legs, the newly completed Busselton to Dunsborough cycle path is just across the road from Mandalay and is a lovely sealed path way to cycle your way to Dunsborough (approximately 20 kilometres). Mandalay has adult bikes available to hire.
