Is it a bird, is it a plane… YES… Lots of them! The Busselton Aerofest will take place on Sunday the 2nd of March with displays open from 10.00am. Get out to the Busselton Airport for this exciting aerial event.
The Busselton Aerofest will be held at Busselton Airport, Neville Hyder Drive, on Sunday the 2nd of March 2014.
The public will have access to over 35 aeroplanes on display including Vintage, Warbirds and 2014 models. Look to the skies for flying displays of aerobatics, waterbombing and skywriting. For those wanting to feel the wind beneath their wings, there will be helicopter and trial instructional flights available. See over 100 planes fly in for this exciting light aircraft event, the biggest in WA!
There will be many food stalls with hot and cold drinks, sausage sizzle, beef rolls and sandwiches for sale in and around the Busselton Aero Club rooms.
It’s not just about the planes at the Aerofest. The kids will have fun with a train ride, jump on the bouncy castle or being turned into a spider or a butterfly with face painting. They might also get the chance to sit in a real Fighter Jet.
See the radio controlled model aircraft, restored military vehicles, tractors and stationary engines and keep your eyes out for the Southern Skydivers dropping from the sky.
Gates open at 8.30am with displays opening from 10.00am to 4.00pm. Entry is $10.00 per person, children under 15 years old are free. Funds raised on the day will go towards the Royal Flying Doctors, Busselton Hospice, Volunteer Marine Rescue Cadets and the First Cape Naturaliste Scout Group.
So bring the whole family along to the Busselton Aerofest for this day of fun in the skies and on the ground. For more information see the Busselton Aero Club website.
