Pirate Jim’s Giant Dhufish

Word spreads pretty quickly throughout Mandalay when there is an exciting catch to be seen, and today was no exception!

Mandalay’s very own celebrity fisherman Pirate Jim caught a monster dhufish in the calm waters of Geographe Bay, during a fishing expedition in his boat about 15km off the shore.   The whopper of a fish weighing 14.1kg drew crowds of angling enthusiasts, keen to take a photo or two and hear the tale of this giant fish.

We hope that Pirate Jim and wife Karen enjoy the fruits of their labour tonight with a big bowl of chips, a slice of lemon and a nice cold beverage or two!
