50 Years at Mandalay

This week we celebrate a very special milestone. Max and Jean Snook celebrate 50 continuous years of holidays here at Mandalay.

Over the past half century Max and Jean have never missed a holiday in Busselton at Mandalay.  They first came to visit the park when one of their sons had their tonsils out and the family needed some recuperation time.

The couple, now in their 70’s, used to come during the school holidays with their four children, and have watched many changes both in the park and in Busselton itself.  They remember coming down in old and battered cars and caravans, kids getting car sick on the long journey to Busselton but always feeling like they were returning to a second home once they had arrived at the front gate.

One of the facets of Mandalay that they love the most is when they pull into park; they are met by friendly and familiar faces that make them feel so welcome.  They have made many friends over the years and they love being able to come down regularly to catch up with them all.  Max and Jean both try to keep active when they visit, taking part in water aerobics and other park activities, plus playing a few rounds of golf. 

We congratulate the Max and Jean on their very special milestone and look forward to enjoying many more visits from the Snooks!
