The southwest corner of Western Australia has been experiencing some beautiful weather over the past few weeks. In Busselton we the temperature hasn’t dropped below 27°C since January which has made perfect weather for holidaying and exploring our fantastic region.
The water temperature in Geographe Bay has also been unseasonably warm (more than 25°C), making for perfect beach weather. The stingers have finally left the bay, and with the beautiful warm, calm days the beaches have been spectacular. Our pools have been filled with people from sun rise to sun set enjoying this extended summer. With the warm days and balmy nights the weather has never been better for a getaway to Mandalay!
The warmer water has also resulted in some unusual species of marine life being spotted in the bay, with reports of Black Marlin being caught inside the bay and Spanish mackerel being caught around the capes. Local fishing charter company Legend Charters has been reaching their daily boat limit consistently over the past couple of weeks. Why not come and stay at Mandalay and book a fishing charter with Legend Charters.
It is also a fantastic time to come and explore the Margaret River wine region and surrounds. Many tour operators will pick you up from Mandalay, take you out for the day to enjoy wine tasting and other gourmet experiences, and then drop you off back at Mandalay again. Bookings can be made through Mandalay or the tour company. Check out the Region section on our webpage to visit some of the local tour companies’ websites.
If you are thinking about a getaway to Mandalay for a midweek break or for the weekend why not give our reception a call. We also still have availability in our accommodation for the Easter school holidays, just call our reception to enquire.
