Only the toughest of the tough turned out for the Australia Day Cricket Match this year!

Thursday 26^th January was an absolute scorcher, with the temperature well above 35 degrees. Fifty kids of all ages tore themselves away from the refreshing pools and shade of their campsites and chalets to take part in Mandalay’s annual Australia Day Cricket Match.  Intrepid umpire John sweated it out on the field during the heat of the day, but had a sneaky plan to cool down, turning the oval’s sprinklers on during the match to stop everyone from melting completely.

The match was won by the Parents on 138 runs against the Kids with only 85 runs. Everyone involved had a fun time and is now enjoying a well deserved afternoon of cooling off.
