Excited to build on the success for the event last year, organisers of the 2013 Dunsborough Down South Youth Festival are looking forward to entertaining young and old in Seymour Park on the 25th and 26th of May. There will be plenty to get involved with including vocal, art and percussion workshops. If you prefer to stand back and watch others perform there is a great line-up of concerts, a street parade and prepare for flash choirs to feature throughout the town centre. On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May 2013 Busselton will be hosting the Sunsmart Ironman 70.3 event. The competitors will be competing in a 1.9km swim, a 90.1km bike ride and a 21.1km run. This year the Centre for Cerebral Palsy is Triathlon WA’s nominated chairty. Charity Breakfast A Charity breakfast will be held on Friday 10th May 2013 from 7:30am to 9:30am at the Goose Cafe. Tickets cost $45 per person. $20 per ticket purchased is donated to The Centre for Cerebral Palsy. Buy tickets Your donation from purchasing a ticket for the charity breakfast will help Marc, a triathlon WA member reach his goal of raising $100,000 for the Centre for Cerebral Palsy. Marc is running the Coast 2 Coast run where he will run from Albany to Cottesloe, in May. The SunSmart Ironman event attracts people to the region to compete in and watch the triathlon. SunSmart Ironman 70.3 Busselton will offer the 25 age group qualifying slots to the 2012 Ironman 70.3 World Championships. Kids, can you swim, ride a bike and run? Of course you can!! If you are aged between 7 and 15 years old come along and have some fun at the Sunsmart kids triathlon on Friday 10th May 2013 at Busselton. The Kids triathlon is part of the Busselton Sunsmart Triathlon 70.3 Festival being held in Busselton. Teams or individuals can enter and the event is all about having fun. The event will not be timed and kids can have their photos taken with professional athletes!!! Let’s show our respect and take time to remember. Lest We Forget Busselton Dawn Service starts at 5.45am at the Busselton War Memorial on Albert Street. This will then be followed by a gunfire breakfast at the local RSL Hall on Rosemary Drive. Morning tea and lunch will also be held at the RSL club. The ANZAC Day parade will start at 9am on the corner of Queen Street and Marine Terrace and will finish at the Busselton War Memorial.
Busselton will be hosting for the first time Polo on the foreshore, alongside the Busselton Jetty, on Saturday 27th April 2013. This event will have FREE admission as well as offer tickets to a VIP Marquee.
